Aaron Marcellis McCain, known professionally as Canon, is an American Christian hip-hop artist from Chicago, Illinois, U.S. He began his career as the hype man for Lecrae before embarking on a solo career in 2011. He is recognized for his powerful lyrics and for blending hip-hop with a faith-based perspective. In 2014, he cracked the Billboard 200 with his EP Loose Canon, Vol. 2.
Canon is a member of Reflection Music Group (RMG). His career faced a setback after a near-death accident, but he later returned with projects like Loose Canon, Vol. 3, Home, and his collaboration with Derek Minor and Byron Juane, Whole Team Winning. In 2021, he released the single “I Made It” and the EP We Made It.
