Jimmy Fortune is a renowned American country and gospel music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is best known for his impressive 21-year tenure as the tenor vocalist for the legendary Statler Brothers, a period during which he also penned several of their number-one hits, including “Elizabeth,” “Too Much on My Heart,” and “My Only Love.” His smooth tenor voice and songwriting abilities became an integral part of the group’s signature sound.
After the Statler Brothers retired in 2002, Jimmy Fortune embarked on a successful solo career, continuing to release music that blends country and Christian influences.
