Obiora Nwokolobia-Agu, widely known as Obiwon, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music minister. Born on June 9, 1977, he is a well-respected figure in the Nigerian music industry, known for his transition from a secular artist to a full-time Christian minister. He is married to Nkechi Obioma Ezeife.

Obiwon’s music is a unique blend of Gospel, Urban Contemporary Gospel, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Soul. His early career was marked by hits like the classic love song “Onyinye” from his debut album Overture (2006). After his spiritual conversion in 2008, he transitioned to gospel music, gaining acclaim for songs like “Obi Mu O,” a popular wedding anthem dedicated to his wife. His music is celebrated for its deep lyrics and powerful vocals, which minister to a wide audience.

Throughout his career, Obiwon has released several notable albums and singles, including: The Rebirth (2009), Gold Water (2013), which won multiple awards at the Nigerian Gospel Music Awards, Floodgates: The Beginning of the New Overflow (2016)

He is also known for his collaborations, including the urban gospel hit “Hail My King,” which featured Frank Edwards, Eben, and Kenny K’ore, as well as working with Nathaniel Bassey on “Jubilee.” He is an independent artist and has released music through Now Music Ltd. and his own ministry.
